There are 10 different crewmates within Steamworld Heist 2, and they can all be found within the Great Sea, the area that players will be exploring as Captain Leeway. The purpose of the game is to figure out what is going on with the sea and stop it.
Additionally, players will be able to give their crewmates different hats and skills, which can slowly help them create the best build possible for their crewmates. Here are the best builds for each individual crewmate.

- Ultimate Upgrade: Sneakstrike - Scram is a free action and turns him invisible.

- Best Secondary Jobs: Focus solely on Brawler (but Flanker skills can help)
- Personal Upgrade: Abs of Steel - Becomes invulnerable to damage for a turn.
- Ultimate Upgrade: Body Butter - Abs of Steel becomes free action and gets one more use.

Daisy Clutch's Best Build
- Job: Sniper
- Best Skills: Reticle Eyes and Perfect Aim (Sniper) & Fortify and Mine (Boomer)
- Best Secondary Jobs: Boomer (due to skills) or Flanker (due to everything)
- Personal Upgrade: Stun Gun - Stuns enemies for a turn.
- Ultimate Upgrade: Studious - Decreases Cog Cost by 1
Daisy is one of the first crewmates players will find. She is in the tutorial and will automatically join the crew upon completion. She specializes in so many different things due to her versatility.
Dame Judy Wrench's Best Build
- Job: Boomer
- Best Skills: Fortify and Mine (Boomer) & Reticle Eyes and Perfect Aim (Sniper)
- Best Secondary Jobs: Sniper (though she could do great at any role)
- Personal Upgrade: Harsh Language - Shames enemies on the map for 3 damage and ignores their armor.
- Ultimate Upgrade: Sick Burn - Improves Harsh Language
