Why doesn't my reusable K-cup fit in my Keurig? ›

A: The Keurig My K-Cup Universal Reusable Coffee Filter is compatible with all Keurig Home Coffee Makers. Please note, you may need to remove the 2.0 adapter on the bottom of the accessory and the K-Cup Holder in your brewer in order for it to fit properly.

While the initial investment in reusable coffee pods may be higher than purchasing single-use pods, they can lead to significant cost savings in the long run. Although single-use pods may seem inexpensive individually, the cumulative cost adds up over time, especially for daily coffee drinkers.

When using a reusable K-Cup, it is recommended to use 1-2 tablespoons of finely ground light roast coffee. Depending on your taste preference, you can adjust the amount within this range. Keep in mind that too little coffee may result in a weak cup, while too much might lead to a bitter taste.

A medium grind is the best grind size for a perfect cup of coffee every time. This grind will produce a cup of coffee that is not too strong or too weak. It will also result in the best flavor and consistency. If you want to make a cone shaped cup with your K-Cup machine, make sure to use a medium-coarse grind.

While it isn't a new invention, the reusable K-cup coffee pod is an ingenious, affordable and often overlooked tool that lets you use any coffee you want in your single-cup or pod-based coffee maker. With many reviews calling it a “game-changer,” it's an easy way to elevate your home coffee experience.

It's worth noting that when buying pre-ground coffee (especially from the supermarket), it's usually a very fine grind size. However for the majority of our reusable pods, we recommend using a medium-fine grind for optimal results.

Use the right grind

In general, a fine grind works best for reusable pods - this means that the water has to work a little harder to get through that ground coffee, creating strong, fuller bodied espresso and a beautiful extraction.

Fill the reusable capsule with your favourite ground coffee (whether it be organic, fair trade, or even decaf).
